A Typical Day Using the MoblTec MEDS System |

|
An explanation of how our Mobile Energy Delivery System works, along with an illustration of the potential benefits to your company, can best be presented by following a driver during a normal delivery shift. |
|||
| The driver gets into the vehicle and turns to his large 10.4 inch color touch screen. The driver starts his shift by selecting his name from the driver log on screen which logs him onto the system. The system automatically starts to transmit the latest data from the office to the truck, using 802.11 wireless access. The data includes this shift’s route information, changes and additions to the customer database, and updated delivery history. | ![]() |

The driver then fills out his electronic vehicle inspection report. Before leaving the parking lot, the driver brings up the route information screen, where the stops for this shift are displayed in the most efficient delivery sequence. The stops are color-coded by the estimated tank percentage of fuel remaining, so the driver can make sure that customers who are low on fuel definitely get filled. |

| If the driver is new to a route, or the driver is a new-hire, he can request a map showing the expected stops for this shift. The mapping tools allow the driver to see exactly where he is on the map, where the destination is, and the Mobile Data Computer calculates and displays in blue the suggested streets to get to the customer. Special map functions will automatically rotate the screen to make it easy to follow the highlighted streets to reach the destination. The driver is now ready to go deliver to the first customer. | ![]() |

When the driver reaches the first customer, he can request a screen showing detailed information for this customer. Name, address, delivery history, special delivery instructions (notes), and current account balances are immediately available, and the expected current fuel level of the tank is provided. After verifying that this is the correct customer and noting any special conditions concerning delivery, the driver can now request a delivery for this customer and go pump the fuel. |

Once the driver has finished making the delivery and gets back in the vehicle, he now requests a delivery ticket be printed for the customer, along with a copy for the office. An invoice, with all pricing, and invoice total calculations done automatically, including sales taxes, is also printed. An optional discount coupon can also be requested. If the customer is available and wants to make a payment, the system has the capability of accepting and recording the payment. All of this involves no manual calculations or filling out of forms by the driver, allowing him to move on to the next delivery stop more quickly |

When the driver has completed his shift and returns to the yard, he logs off of the system. This starts the automatic upload of delivery data to the office, via 802.11 wireless access. The driver then simply secures his vehicle and takes the generated paperwork into the office accounting personnel. |
